Band of Brothers (2001 HBO)

I honestly think every middle school student in America should have to watch this series. We have become so shattered as a society. Not even 100 years ago American pride was oozing from the people that called it home. The utter shell of what once was to what we have become today is astonishingly prevalent. A one season mini series is about the historic "Easy Company" the 101st Airborne company and their activity in World War 2. Based off a 1992 book by Stephen Ambrose, this mini series is nothing short of outstanding. I barely looked at my phone for the entirety of the series. Felt I was disrespecting Dick Winters if I did. HBO never misses on an intro man you feel that one. It is one of those where you watch it and almost think of enlisting. Just to simply walk in the footsteps of the giants portrayed on this series. America may be a more united place if this became a mandatory middle school watch.
